NCC Joins Agribusinesses, Exporters, in Encouraging Early West Coast Port Negotiations

NCC joined 125 associations representing manufacturers, farmers, agribusinesses, retailers, importers and exporters, and key supply-chain stakeholders this week in a letter to the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association encouraging early negotiations on a contract extension or new contract.

Senate Advances Trade Promotion Authority, Floor Vote Anticipated Soon

Following successful votes on the African Growth and Opportunity Act, and one specifically regarding currency manipulation, the U.S. Senate voted yesterday 65-33 to start debate on Trade Promotion Authority (TPA).
