USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service  (FSIS) this week published its final rule on generic labeling.  The rule will go into effect 60 days after it is published in the Federal Register.

U.S. total broiler slaughter for the week ending November 9 is estimated by USDA-AMS’s Poultry Market News Service to be 155,791,000 broilers, a 1-percent increase from the same week a year earlier.
