In a letter delivered yesterday to the Chairmen of both the Senate and House Agriculture Committee, the National Chicken Council and over 70 other organizations and companies urged that “consideration be given to providing flexibility in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) so that we have the ability to respond to market signals and grow adequate grains and oilseeds to provide basic food stuffs to world consumers.”

The National Chicken Council, along with 14 other groups representing food and beverage manufacturers, sent a letter yesterday to Speaker of the House John Boehner, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell urging Congress to take quick action on a variety of important trade initiatives.
