Comments are due Monday, February 10, in response to the Scientific Report released last December by the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations to the Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services as they work to finalize the 2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans later this year.
The Guidelines are updated every five years and are the cornerstone for federal nutrition programs and policies.
NCC took issue with several of the recommendations and omissions from the Scientific Report and will provide comments to the departments on Monday.
