Farmer Focus was named 2024 Chicken Marketer of the Year at this week’s Chicken Marketing Summit in Birmingham, Alabama.
“We are proud to recognize Farmer Focus as the winner of the 2024 Chicken Marketer of the Year,” WATT PoultryUSA editor Elizabeth Doughman said. “This year’s award submissions covered a variety of strategic marketing objects but ultimately Farmer Focus was selected due to their multi-channel approach to telling the farmer’s story and upholding traceability, which engaged chicken consumers and built brand loyalty.”
“Farmers are the backbone of the global food system and we take pride in being a voice for the growers at the shelf,” Farmer Focus wrote in its submission for the award. “Our growers deserve the recognition of producing humanely raised, traceable, and sustainable chicken that feeds millions.”
Held at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Birmingham, Alabama, the 2024 Chicken Marketing Summit was the venue for the third annual presentation of the Chicken Marketer of the Year award. The award is presented by Poultry Future, WATT Poultry, and WATT Global Media.
Farmer Focus CEO Stephen Shepard, brand manager Abi Vincil, chief of commercial sales Dolan Patterson, and director of sales Garrett Lorton accepted the award on behalf of Shenandoah Valley Organic, now known as Farmer Focus.
