USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) this week announced the launch of a new tool that shows how U.S. trade agreements and trading relationships with other nations impacts at the state level.
“Every state has signature food and farm products that are recognized by global consumers, including Wisconsin dairy and California wine to Florida citruses and Maine lobster,” USDA said. “The online story maps explain how specific trade wins and successes positively impact those key industries, providing economic benefits to farmers, agribusinesses, and rural communities in each of the 50 states.”
Each state’s tab includes an overall fact sheet of agricultural trade for the state as well as new developments for specific agricultural commodities. The tool also includes each state’s top foreign markets and top commodity exports.
The tool can be found here.
