The State of Kansas and the City of Olathe with the Kansas City Area Development Council announced this week that Chick-fil-A Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., and distribution service provider of the fast food chain’s restaurants, plans to establish a market distribution center in the Kansas City region.

The company plans to invest $31 million in the market distribution center, creating more than 60 jobs. The facility will be located at Lone Elm Commerce Center in Olathe, developed by Frontier Real Estate Investment, formerly Heise-Meyer.

“The Kansas City area is a prime location to invest in our business, create jobs, and grow our supply chain operation,” said Josh Grote, executive director, Chick-fil-A Supply. “The region has a deep pool of skilled talent that we know will excel in serving the franchise Operators, licensees and team members delivering an authentic Chick-fil-A experience at each of our locations.”

The Olathe facility will be Chick-fil-A’s fifth distribution center in the U.S. and the company’s first in Kansas. Chick-fil-A Supply’s market distribution centers are aimed at supporting and creating greater flexibility within the company’s supply chain.

The facility is projected to operate at full scale in early 2024.
