The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s November Prices Index increased 4.5 percent from October and 23 percent from November 2021. The Crop Production Index was up 4.3 percent from last month and 19 percent from the previous year. The Livestock Production Index increased 3.2 percent from October and 30 percent from November of last year.

For poultry and eggs specifically, the November index increased 9.5 percent from October and 67 percent from November 2021. The November broiler price, at 71.4 cents per pound, is 1.9 cents higher than October and 12.2 cents higher than a year ago.
