Broiler production is lowered on second quarter slaughter data but is partly offset by higher expected production in the third quarter, according to USDA’s July World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report.

Broiler exports for 2022 are raised on recent data. No changes are made to 2023 forecasts.

The report estimated 93.4 million acres of corn planted through December 2021 and is projecting 89.9 million acres for 2022. 2021 yield is 177.0 bushels per acre and 2022 is projected to be 177.0 bushels per acre.

USDA estimated 87.2 million acres of soybeans planted through December 2021 and is projecting 88.3 million acres for 2022. 2021 yield is 51.4 bushels per acre and 2022 is projected to be 51.5 bushels per acre.
