Broiler-type chicks hatched during October 2021 totaled 811 million, up one percent from October 2020. Eggs in incubators totaled 701 million on November 1, 2021, up 5 percent from a year ago, according to USDA latest Chickens and Eggs Report.

Leading breeders placed 8.57 million broiler-type pullet chicks for future domestic hatchery supply flocks during October 2021, up 6 percent from October 2020.

Egg-type chicks hatched during October 2021 totaled 45.9 million, down 9 percent from October 2020. Eggs in incubators totaled 46.7 million on November 1, 2021, up 5 percent from a year ago.

Total frozen poultry supplies on October 31, 2021 were down 8 percent from the previous month and down 18 percent from a year ago. Total stocks of chicken were up three percent from the previous month but down 17 percent from last years, according to USDA latest Cold Storage report.
