Mountaire Farms this week awarded fifteen $2,500 scholarships to children or grandchildren of employees, growers, and grain suppliers affiliated with the company’s Delaware-based operations.

“We are proud of this program because it embraces everything we care about – our employees, our growers, our grain producers, and their families,” Mountaire Farms president Phillip Plylar said. “And these students have all demonstrated a commitment to their education and to their communities, which we believe should be celebrated.”

The recipients include Bethany Mavromatis, Estefania Samper, Trinity Kelso, Abigail West, Mason Morean, Abby Furr, Camille Victoria Bello, Caroline Saathoff, Edward Yu, Jessica L. Lewis, Kylie Kruger, Leslie Webb, Maddison LaPearl, Mindy Blevins, and Walter Bailey.

Mountaire last week announced nine scholarship recipients from children or grandchildren of employees, growers, and grain suppliers affiliated with the company’s Lumber Bridge, North Carolina operation and two recipients from Siler City, North Carolina. Scholarship recipients are announced on a rolling basis from the company’s annual scholarship program, which awards $80,000 in $2,500 scholarships each year.
