Broiler–type chicks hatched during June 2021 totaled 824 million, down one percent from June 2020. Eggs in incubators totaled 715 million on July 1, 2021, up two percent from a year ago.Leading breeders placed 9.55 million broiler–type pullet chicks for future domestic hatchery supply flocks during June 2021, up 18 percent from June 2020.

Total frozen poultry supplies on June 30, 2021 were up two percent from the previous month but down 15 percent from a year ago. Total stocks of chicken were up one percent from the previous month but down 15 percent from last year. Total pounds of turkey in freezers were up four percent from last month but down 14 percent from June 30, 2020.
