Broiler production is lowered on the pace of production in the second quarter. However, the forecasts for the remainder of the year are unchanged, according to USDA’s July edition of the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report.

Broiler exports for 2021 are raised primarily on higher-than-expected May data, but no change is made to the forecasts for 2022.

The report estimated 90.8 million acres of corn planted through December 2020 and is projecting 92.7 million acres for 2021. 2020 yield is 172.0 bushels per acre and 2021 is projected to be 179.5 bushels per acre.

USDA estimated 83.1 million acres of soybeans planted through December 2020 and is projecting 87.6 million acres for 2021. 2020 yield is 50.2 bushels per acre and 2021 is projected to be 50.8 bushels per acre.
