Case Farms’ processing facility in Canton, Ohio recently reached one million hours without experiencing an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable lost-time accident (LTA).

Case Farms’ three other processing facilities, in Morganton, NC, Winesburg, Ohio and Goldsboro, NC, also reached the one million hour mark in 2020. The Goldsboro, NC facility also reached two million hours without an LTA.

In October 2020 the Goldsboro facility won its third consecutive Gold Award from the North Carolina Department of Labor. The Gold Award is the state’s highest safety award, which recognizes on-the-job safety and health efforts and the promotion of safe working conditions.

The Goldsboro facility has reached numerous milestones in recent years, including reaching one, two, and three mission hours without an LTA. In the past five years, the facility has reached one million hours without an LTA four times. It usually takes about five to six months for a facility to reach one million hours without an LTA.
