Perdue Farms on Tuesday was named the Gold winner for the Company Response of the Year During COVID-19 category of the 2020 Consumer World Awards.

The COVID-19 Business Response awards were created specifically for 2020 to recognize individuals, teams and groups, and organizations that have shown resilience and creativity in navigating the impact of COVID-19. Judges come from a broad spectrum of industries and scores are averaged in reviewing the submissions.

A virtual ceremony will be held in December.

“Now in our 100th year, the success of this company is a result of putting our people first, which has been especially important during COVID-19,” Perdue Farms’ CEO Randy Day said. “We couldn’t be prouder of our frontline workers for their non-stop efforts throughout the pandemic. As they remain dedicated to providing safe, high-quality food for our country, we remain committed to ensuring their safety.”
