The 2020 forecast for total meat production is lowered slightly from last month as decreases in pork production more than offset higher poultry and beef production. Broiler and turkey production reflect June production data; no changes are made to forecasts for the outlying quarters according to USDA’s latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report.

2020 egg production forecast is raised on hatchery data. For 2021, the poultry and red meat production forecast is unchanged from the previous month on offsetting changes in beef and broiler production. The 2021 broiler production forecast is raised from last month on lower feed costs. Pork and turkey production forecasts are unchanged. The egg production forecast is raised from last month.
