Leading breeders placed 8.19 million broiler-type pullet chicks for future domestic hatchery supply flocks during May 2020, down 7-percent from May 2019, according to USDA’s latest Chickens and Eggs report.

Total frozen poultry supplies on May 31, 2020 were down 5-percent from the previous month and down 4-percent from year ago. Total stocks of chicken were down 8-percent from the previous month but up 3-percent from last year, according to USDA’s most recent Cold Storage report.
