Poultry certified wholesome during April 2020 (ready-to-cook weight) totaled 4.09 billion pounds, down 1-percent from the amount certified in April 2019.
The March 2020 revised certified total at 4.43 billion pounds, was up 12-percent from March 2019. The March revision represented an increase of 8.72 million pounds from last month’s preliminary pounds certified based on USDA latest Poultry Slaughter report.
