House Democrats on Wednesday unveiled the legislative text of their proposal for the next round of coronavirus aid legislation. The House is on pace to pass this legislation this afternoon, strictly along party lines.

Senate Republican leadership has made it clear that this bill is dead on arrival in the Senate, and they will soon begin crafting their own legislation for the next round of aid.  Leader McConnell this week said he would like to see the impact of the first aid package, the CARES Act, before passing an additional coronavirus support bill.
