NCC on Friday joined the Food and Agriculture Dialogue for Trade, a group of agriculture-related groups in a letter congratulating Sharon Bomer Lauritsen, the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Agricultural Affairs and Commodity Policy, on her recently-announced retirement.

“International trade is the lifeblood of our industry and for the workers, farmers and the consumers it supports,” the letter reads. “Your deep knowledge of our diverse sector, long-standing relationships, persistent negotiating and leadership of USTR’s excellent agriculture staff, have directly benefitted each of our organizations, the agriculture economy and the people we serve through increased market access and reduced barriers to free trade.”
