Poultry certified wholesome during January 2020 (ready-to-cook weight) totaled 4.52 billion pounds, up 6-percent from the amount certified in January 2019.
The December 2019 revised certified total at 4.15 billion pounds, was up 11-percent from December 2018. The December revision represented an increase of 12.5 million pounds from last month’s preliminary pounds certified, according to USDA’s Economics, Statistics, and Market Information System latest Poultry Slaughter report.
