Chick-fil-A continues to expand internationally opening its first restaurant in the U.K. on Thursday, October 10.  The new restaurant has “already served nearly a thousand customers,” a company spokesperson said.

The UK opening is a continuation of the chicken chain’s international expansion.  In 2018, Chick-fil-A announced it would open its first international location in Toronto, Canada.  “For right now, Chick-fil-A is focusing on the UK location to help understand more about consumer interest in our brand and the signature menu items,” a Chick-fil-A spokesperson said.

Chick-fil-A has also been expanding rapidly in the United States.  The Atlanta-based food chain’s sandwiches have helped Chick-fil-A become the third largest restaurant chain in the United States by system-wide sales, passing Wendy’s, Burger King, Taco Bell and Subway in one year.
