The Senate on Thursday passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) by a 82-15 vote to temporarily fund the government through November 21. The bill now heads to President Donald Trump for his signature.

The House first passed the measure, known as H.R. 4378, by a 301-123 vote on September 19, 2019, just one day after it was introduced in the chamber.

Both chambers return from recess on October 15. FY2019 appropriations end on September 30, 2019.

The House has passed all 12 FY2020 appropriations bills via two minibuses. Ten of the 12 appropriations bills have been introduced or passed in Senate committees, but the full chamber has yet to hold a vote on any individual appropriations bills.
