Scientist Jenny Houlroyd will discuss her research on exposures to peracetic acid-based antimicrobials among poultry processing workers as well as factors to further minimize peracetic acid exposure in poultry plants at the 2018 Poultry Processor Workshop funded by USPOULTRY.  The workshop is scheduled May 10-11 at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Houlroyd will provide a first-hand account of the completed research that is intended to increase industry knowledge of exposure to peracetic acid, or its component chemicals and begin assessing factors that further minimize exposure.

Attendees at the workshop will have the opportunity to discuss the research findings first-hand with the scientist.  Industry professionals in all capacities related to processing plant operations, food safety, quality assurance, maintenance and management can benefit from attending the workshop.
