GOP Tax Reform Plan Announced

On September 29, 2017, in Congressional News, Tax Issues, by Harrison Kircher

This week President Trump and Republican leadership announced a long-awaited tax reform plan.  This plan is meant to be a framework for Congress to negotiate into legislation.

This is a product of the White House, Senate, and House Republican Leaders. Republican Senators were briefed at their caucus lunch Tuesday on the framework and House Members were on a retreat Wednesday to discuss it.

It is expected that President Trump will continue to promote the tax reform plan directly to manufacturers and executives over the coming weeks in order to capitalize on their influence on behalf of his proposed tax overhaul, using his speeches to argue that reform will make American businesses more competitive.
