Barbeques and July 4 go hand in hand, and Americans continue to stock up on their favorite meats and seafood for the grill.Beef reigns supreme on Independence Day with sales in the two weeks around the holiday last year exceeding $803 million, according to Nielsen. Chicken is next at $371 million , followed by pork exceeding $217 million to round out the top three in meat. Shrimp and salmon are the top picks for seafood.
