USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has issued on Wednesday two draft Purchase Program Specifications (FPPS) for Chicken Parts and Diced Chicken. Changes from the previous supplement are in blue font and can be viewed here and here.
Major changes for Chicken Parts include:
1.) Proposed weight range for chicken WOG size consistent for each part
Major changes for Diced Chicken include:
1.) Updating microbial testing and FPPS format
USDA is seeking input regarding the above listed changes to be made no later than February 21. All responses should be directed to Terry Lutz.
