The National Chicken Council this week as a part of the Chicken Check In initiative posted a new blog addressing chicken labels.
A survey by NCC found that nearly two-thirds (62 percent) of consumers said chicken labels and packaging were confusing. To clear up some common chicken labeling misperceptions, a new blog post on the Chicken Check In blog, “The Cluck,” breaks down five confusing labels on chicken products and what they actually mean. The labels addressed include no added hormones or steroids, cage-free, free-range, organic, and antibiotics.
