USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will hold its 2016 Annual Industry Meeting to discuss commodity purchase programs and USDA foods on Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington, D.C., Crystal City.
The meeting will include two half-day session. The first half-day session will be dedicated to industry breakout groups (fruits/vegetables, dairy, grain, livestock/poultry, seafood/fish, etc.). For the second half-day session, all commodity areas will be together to discuss general program topics, such as the business-management improvement initiation, organizational changes in the commodity procurement staff, and contracting issues.
