USDA Agricultural Marketing Service is issuing an update to the Federal Purchase Program Specification for Chicken Fajita Strips, dated May 2015. The document is available here and all changes are represented in blue font throughout.  The document provides information on the following:

  • Clarifies FSIS oversight for processing this item
  • Clarifies AMS Quality Assurance Division monitoring
  • Provides more flexibility for the marinating solution
  • Reduces upper limit for sodium from 600mg to 500mg/100g
