McDonald’s USA Director of Quality Systems Ernie Meier is slated to speak about the company’s decision process in arriving at its antibiotic policy at the NCC Chicken Marketing Summit, being produced in partnership with WATT Global Media. The summit is scheduled Sunday, July 10 through Tuesday, July 12 at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort in South Carolina.

Meier, who is responsible for making sure all poultry and meat proteins purchased meet McDonald’s specifications for food safety, animal welfare, and sustainability, will discuss the company’s decision to stop using antibiotics important to human medicine in chicken production for McDonald’s USA by March 2017.  Meier will also speak about how McDonald’s works with its poultry suppliers and communicates with consumers on the issue, as well as maintaining transparency.

To hear Meier’s remarks on this important topic, plan to attend the summit and join other poultry industry stakeholders to network, share, and learn together about the opportunities and challenges for chicken in the marketplace.  For complete information about the summit, including a schedule of events, visit Chicken Marketing Summit.
