McDonald’s launched this week a quarter-pound ground-chicken burger, made from a blend of breast and thigh meat, the company announced Tuesday. The new burger is only available at this time in 202 restaurants in the Tampa Bay market.
It can be ordered in two varieties: “classic,” with red onions, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing or “signature” with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and “tangy signature sauce.” At 400 calories or less (100 calories less than a red meat quarter pounder), the new burger is being billed as a healthier option.
