Trent Goins, chief executive officer of OK Foods, released the following statement yesterday after the refrigeration and maintenance employees at OK Food’s Heavener, Oklahoma plant again voted against joining the United Food and Commercial Workers Local Union 1000.  The vote was 22-13 against union representation.

“It should be clear and evident to the union that they are neither needed nor wanted by our coworkers in Heavener, OK.  I’m proud of our coworkers who stood strong in the face of the relentless union attacks. As the vote margin indicates, we value our hard-working employees and we are thankful for this second vote of confidence. While we hold out hope that the union will finally listen to our employees and leave them alone, we won’t know if the union will honor the vote for seven days.”
