U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will be making a two day visit to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. on Nov. 17 and 18. According to a press release from the university, Secretary Vilsack will speak to the public on Nov. 17 as a part of the university’s Fall 2014 Presidential Lecture Series.

The visit will include a tour of Purdue University Research Park and updates on the university’s research and programs. Secretary Vilsack will also meet with 2009 World Food Prize laureate Gebisa Ejeta as well as participate in a round table discussion. “Any visit by the Secretary of Agriculture to one of the country’s premier agriculture schools is an honor,” said university president Mitch Daniels. “We are proud to host the Secretary and hope to maximize the time he has afforded us by connecting him with our top researchers and students as well as the public.”
