Representative Andy Harris (R-MD) is slated to speak at the National Chicken Council’s upcoming 60th Annual Conference scheduled October 29-30 at the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C.  Harris, a member of the Chicken Caucus, will give an insider’s view of what is happening on Capitol Hill.

Harris began serving as the congressman from the 1st congressional district of Maryland in 2011. He serves on the Committee on Appropriations and  on the following subcommittees: Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; and Legislative Branch. Rep. Harris was a physician at  Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, a medical officer in the Naval Reserve, a Maryland state senator, and now a congressman.
