Bill Lovette, National Chicken Council Chairman, has announced the names of those industry representatives who will serve on NCC’s 2013 Poultry Health and Safety & Health Committees. Don Ritter, director of health services, Mountaire Corporation will serve as chairman of the Poultry Health Committee through August 2013 and Deirdre Johnson, veterinarian, GNP Company will take over the chair position after Don Ritter’s departure. Mike Klune, environmental, health, and safety manager, Cargill, will chair the Safety and Health Committee. Klun was named by the National Turkey Federation (NTF) last year as this committee and the safety and health committees of NTF and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association are part of the Joint Poultry Industry Safety and Health Council.
