Broiler parts exports in July this year were 293,218 metric tons valued at $352.32 million compared with 309,277 tons valued at $354.52 million in July 2011.  Mexico, Russia, and China were the top three parts markets with all of the trio experiencing strong growth in both tonnage and dollars.  Twelve of the top 15 parts markets had increases in quantity while 13 had increases in value.  The top 15 markets combined gained 6.9 percent in quantity and increased 7.6 percent in value when July 2012 is compared with July 2011.  “Other countries” combined were off 27.4 percent in quantity and down 17.8 percent in value.

Broiler parts exports during January-July 2012 totaled 2,033,274 tons valued at $2,492.96 million compared with 1,790,142 tons valued at $2,008.36 million during the first seven months of last year, a 13.6 percent increase in quantity and a 24.1 percent increase in value.  Mexico was the leading parts market with an 18.1 percent gain in tonnage and a 44.0 percent increase in dollars.  Ten of the top 15 parts markets registered increases during January-July this year while 12 countries had increases in value.  For the combined top 15 markets the increase in quantity was 19.9 percent and a 27.2 percent increase in value.  “Other countries” had a slight increase of 0.8 percent in quantity and a more sizable increase in value, 16.9 percent when January-July 2012 is compared with January-July 2011.
