USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) on September 4 purchased diced chicken in 40-pound containers for distribution to the school lunch child nutrition and other related domestic food assistance programs for fiscal year 2012.
The total quantity purchased was 1,280,000 pounds at prices ranging from $242.58 to $250.41 per 100 pounds. The total purchase value was $3,144,344. Deliveries will be made from October 1 through October 30.
