The General Conference Committee of the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) will hold a meeting on September 25 and NPIP’s 41st Biennial Conference will be held on September 26. Both public meetings will be held at the Loews Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. Agenda topics include Salmonella testing, technical committee reports, avian influenza, and USDA’s regulatory review. It is expected that a number of important recommendations to improve the NPIP program will be made at the meeting. The Federal Register notice is available here.
NPIP’s General Conference Committee represents cooperating state agencies and poultry industry members and acts as a liaison between the poultry industry and USDA in matters pertaining to poultry health.
