On-line registration is now open for the National Chicken Council’s 57th Annual Conference to be held in Washington, D.C. October 4-5.  The conference, which will be held at the Four Seasons, brings together senior executives from U.S. processing companies, allied industries, distributors as well as representatives from state poultry associations, members of the press, academia, and the federal government.  Plans are underway for an informative general session covering a wide range of current legislative, regulatory, international trade, as well as economic and business issues that impact the chicken industry.

To register for the conference, visit www.chickenusa.org/ac11.  Please be sure to log on in the upper right-hand corner by entering your email address and password before clicking on the “register now” button.  The conference Web site contains pertinent information about the conference including a preliminary program, location and transportation information, and how to make hotel reservations.  If you do not know your password, please contact Wade Parker at wparker@chickenusa.org to obtain that information.

The NCC board of directors will meet in conjunction with the Annual Conference on Tuesday afternoon, October 4.  The board of directors meeting is open to NCC board members, official representatives from NCC allied leader member companies, and invited guests only.

Hotel room rates at the Four Seasons are $299 per night, plus tax.  The Four Seasons, located in the historic Georgetown district of Washington, is one of the city’s premier dining and shopping districts, and is conveniently located close to Ronald Reagan National Airport.  NCC’s group conference rate is only available until September 12 or until the NCC block is completely sold out.  Therefore, it is highly recommended that you make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.  After September 12, you will be on your own to secure your hotel accommodations.
