USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) last week purchased 2,028,000 pounds of chicken fajita strips at a cost of $3,776,225.70 and, this week, purchased 2,584,000 pounds of chicken and chicken products at a cost of $1,890,230.43 for school lunch and other domestic food nutrition assistance programs.  The complete purchase report for the chicken fajita strips can be found on AMS’s Web site.  Details of the July 29 purchase follow:
