Auburn University will hold a Campylobacter 101 Workshop at the university on August 23-24 for the poultry industry. The workshop, which was developed in partnership with Texas A&M and the North American Meat Processors Association (NAMP), will acquaint attendees with the isolation and identification of Campylobacter from poultry samples as well as data analysis and interpretation. In addition to including hands-on laboratory activities, the workshop will also cover multiple-hurdle strategies for controlling Campylobacter at both pre-harvest and post-harvest.
