Suncor Energy announced it has completed the $120,000 million expansion of its St. Clair ethanol plant located in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.  With the project’s completion, the plant has doubled its production capacity to 400 million liters (10.56 million gallons) per year, making it Canada’s largest biofuel production facility.  Suncor, one of Canada’s largest players in renewable energy, is an integrated energy company, focused on developing Canada’s Athabasca oil sands and investing in biofuel and wind power.
