Sanderson Farms on January 3 evacuated its plant in Palestine, Texas after a bomb threat was made during a phone call to the facility.
The call was received in the afternoon and the Palestine Police Department came to the scene. Plant workers were evacuated while officers conducted a search of the building. After the police found nothing that would endanger the workers, they were allowed to return to the plant and resume working.
