After a multi-state search, Brakebush Brothers, Inc. has announced it has chosen Greenville, Texas as the location for its next processing facility. Brakebush will build a new 315,000-square-foot  chicken products processing plant, which will employ over 500 people in the first three years with the potential for future growth.

Brakebush is a 92-year-old family-owned business with three other locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Irving, Texas.  A Texas Enterprise Fund grant offer of $780,000 has been extended to the company for choosing to build in Texas.

Brakebush plans to be under construction later this year, with the initial phase opening in the fourth quarter of 2018.  Along with the Greenville investment, aggressive growth plans also include the addition of 79,000 square feet to its Westfield, Wisconsin facility. This $42 million expansion, scheduled to open in December 2017, will add 120 new jobs.

Brakebush employs over 1,800 people nationwide and sells more than 200 further processed chicken products to the foodservice, industrial and restaurant industries.
