Operations have now resumed at Wayne Farms Enterprise, Alabama plant after an electrical fire occurred on the morning of Friday, August 4. Approximately 400 people at the plant were evacuated at approximately 6:30 a.m. when smoke was discovered coming from the electrical room.
The fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was being investigated, but necessary repairs have been completed and the plant is back online. Wayne Farms employs 1,200 at the Enterprise plant
