U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on Monday spoke to the National Chicken Council’s Board of Directors at the group’s meeting in Sea Island, Georgia. Secretary Perdue outlined his vision for the department’s regulatory oversight, spoke of the importance of increasing trade and his role as the chief promoter of American agriculture, among other issues.
