The Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc (DPI) has announced a new project to produce a 60-minute television documentary about the early years of the Delmarva’s chicken industry.  DPI is working with the non-profit Berkana Center for Media and Education, Inc. and 302 Stories, Inc., a Delaware-based documentary production company.  Funded in part by the Delaware Humanities Forum, this documentary will compliment the 1998 history book produced by DPI.

To complete the project by spring 2015, DPI is looking for support for the project and asking for tax-deductible contributions by  November 15.   Any size gift will entitle the donor to a copy of the documentary and an invitation to attend a premier public showing.   DPI has pledged financial support of up to $7,500 to match money donated by DPI members and friends.
