Office of the U.S. Trade Representative Jane Doherty, director of sanitary and phytosanitary affairs, will be taking the international affairs liaison position at USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service, according to USDA officials. Prior to her current duties, in which she helped enforce trade agreements with more than 70 foreign countries, she was a senior attorney for international trade and advised the Environmental Protection Agency. She will start her new job at USDA on May 12.
