The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) this week announced that it will hold a series of five meetings to provide an opportunity for public dialogue on challenges faced by the animal agriculture industry as well as practicing veterinarians.   The meetings are meant to support FDA’s implementation of its initiative for the “judicious use of medically important antimicrobials in medicated feed or drinking water of food-producing animals.”  For supplementary information regarding presentations, public comments, and the dates, times, and locations of the meetings from April to June, please see the Federal Register notice here.
